About the Indy Tennis League
A League of Their Own
The Indy Tennis League was founded by Rick Witsken and a group of tennis players and professionals who wanted to create "A League of Their Own" in the greater Indianapolis area. With a variety of tennis backgrounds including current pros, former college and high school standouts, and long time players, the ITL founders share an unmatched passion for the game of tennis. Their desire is to share this passion with other tennis lovers by providing a fun atmosphere for players to compete, play hard, have a great time, improve their game, and develop friendships on and off the court. The ITL is dedicated to creating a positive and competitive league experience with the hopes of establishing long lasting relationships with local tennis communities, clubs, pros and players.
Watch Us Grow
In the 2009 Inagural Year, the ITL boasted a total of over 100 players in the Men's League and over 140 ladies competing in the Fall Women's League. Open to men, women, and juniors in the greater Indianapolis area, the ITL is comprised of players spanning all levels of ability. Among the current 250 players are local tennis professionals, high-level adults, and high-level juniors.
